Large multinational organisations understand the importance of user research when their target market is at stake. But how do you persuade them to adopt a similar level of interest in their own staff when developing tools that will only be used internally?
In this talk I’ll be addressing the challenges that face the User Experience Practitioner when working in a large corporate environment where UCD falls outside of the standard processes and procedures. I’ll be tackling how to deal with difficult stakeholders whilst still creating a space for innovation. I’ll be discussing how to attract widespread support for your project from across the organisation and – most importantly – I’ll be illustrating how to deliver on your promises in what is often seen as a challenging and unforgiving environment.
